Sami Heikkilä's new single Voin luvata sateisen kesän / Jos sinut saan is now out!
The speedier title track draws inspiration from American roots music while the B-side is a slower ballad. The lyrics handle romantic themes with a hint of nostalgia. Birds over a calm lake, a city in winter hibernation and a windy forest are shared experiences, even if a rainy summer is all you can eventually promise to your loved one.
The single can be found on various streaming services along with the Öistä EP, originally released as a cassette only in September.
Heikkilä will be touring through May with the band Kolme viljaa, and some solo performances are included as well. The live dates are:
17.5. Restaurant Railo, Nekala, Tampere
18.5. Metso Expo, The Metso Library, Tampere (solo)
23.5. The Koski Bar, Siuro (solo, w/ Puskajaska)
25.5. Arifest, Lielahti mansion, Tampere
29.5. Nosturi, Helsinki (w/ Kynnet, Junnu Alajuuma)
31.5. Bar Ö, Turku (w/ Junnu Alajuuma)
