When asked about what genre of music they play, the members of Moly came up with the term ”inhoromantiikka”, which could be translated as ”gritty romanticism”. A fitting term for music that can be yet tender and beautiful but also dark and primitive.
The five-piece band uses acoustic and electronic instruments to create a unique blend of post punk, traditional folk music and everything in between. What holds it all together is Esa-Pekka Vierimaa's poetic lyrics laced with black humour. You should definetly learn Finnish to understand them.
Moly's great debut album will be released by Luova Records during fall 2016.

Moly - Testamentti (2016)
”Inhoromantiikka” on tämän viisihenkisen Jyväskyläläisen bändin itse itselleen keksimä tyylilaji. Termi kuvaakin hyvin yhtyettä, jonka musiikissa ovat läsnä niin kauneus kuin rujouskin. Laulaja Esa-Pekka Vierimaan runollisten sanoitusten ympärille luodaan omaperäinen äänimaisema, jossa voi kuulla vaikutteita muun muassa post-punkista ja kansanmusiikista. Molyn keikoilla saa itkeä, nauraa ja bailata.
Luova-records julkaisee Molyn esikoislevyn syksyllä 2016.
